AVOID THIS FACILITY AT ALL COSTS -MINUS STARS - EVERY psychiatrist and doctor I encountered who treated me as an in-patient at LIJ Zucker Hillside Hospital was totally incompetent and negligent. AVOID going into LIJ Zucker Hillside Hospital's Geriatric Out-Patient program! It seemed as if it was set up for one purpose only: to funnel older patients into the in-patient program where they could hold you against your will to take your Medicaid and Medicare.
DO NOT TRUST THESE “DOCTORS” - All that is needed is for two of them to concur and they will have you admitted with or without your consent. My wife had to pay seven thousand dollars to get me out when they started medicating me and experimenting on me with drugs to make me a zombie; all in the name of "stabilizing" me because they mistakenly labeled me as "delusional". Had they bothered to check what I was saying, they would have discovered that everything I said was the truth. My wife reiterated everything I said and they told her they would incarcerate her also, except she wasn’t in the program.
STAY AWAY !!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
