Review content:
Saturday, May 19th was my first visit to See Sound Lounge. Upon arrival at 7:45, an advertisement sign blocked our entrance. Once inside the curiously empty establishment, a server(?) advised, ?We?re Closed?. Strange, since See Sound boasts a 7PM Happy Hour. We promptly alerted this individual of our 8PM reservation(15+ to attend), and he reluctantly let us pass. Oh, did I forget to mention?no BARTENDER, either! WTF!! What kind of joint offers HH w/o a bartender. All I knew, is someone better be servin? some drinks when 8PM rolls around, or being short staffed wouldn't be the only problem tonight. The plan was to get the party started w/ the Birthday honorees, have some food & drinks, before dancing at Belltown Billiards. No such luck in the food department. Apparently, the bar was better off than the kitchen. Food orders were placed with our server, and that was all she wrote?for the next HOUR! If we waved the server down, we might get an (overpriced-$10 per) drink order in. It wasn?t until we complained to the manager about the lack of food that we discovered?they RAN OUT. He brushed us off, and directed us back to our server for more information. Let?s remember that this was a kick-off to the night. Food & drinks is not a unreasonable request for HH, as most people utilize this time to establish a reasonable food to alcohol ratio. We were advised that the kitchen would cook the food on hand, and present a buffet for all to partake. Sometime later on?oops, my bad?it never happened. By 10PM, the bill arrived, however the projected Comp they planned for our party...also never happended. Check your bill thoroughly, people.
All in all, I have to say that decor can only get you so far. Good Service and accountability is what ensures prosperity in the ever-fickle market of nightclubs. So, to those of you reading this review, don?t expect much of See Sound Lounge. It sucked, blew, and wheezed it?s way to my worst HH experience, EVER!
