We allow our users express their opinions, but we don't make any claims about the content of these pages. We strongly believe in freedom of expression, even if a review contains unappealing or distasteful content or present negative viewpoints. We realize that this may be frustrating, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause you. My husband and I ordered take-out dinners for the entire family from "Lagniappe Restaurant". I arrived to pick-up our order, presented my credit card and was informed that it was denied?!? (I had used the card several other times that day without any problems and knew that there was a large balance in the account.) I was somewhat confused. Regardless, I felt extremely embarrassed! I apologized to the waitress and told her that I would run to the money machine (located less than a mile from the restaurant) and that I would be right back to pick-up my order. The other waitress on duty, looked at me as if I was pond scum and rudely stated, "you know...she's gonna have to pay for your order". I went to the money machine and used the SAME CREDIT CARD to withdraw cash for my take-out order...without any problem. (There was more than enough money in my account.) I returned and paid for my dinners. I let them know that my credit card worked fine at the bank and that they might need to check their machine to make sure that it was functioning properly. The manager stood there and did not respond. He didn't apologize or acknowledge my presence. I have to say, I was caught completely off guard by the rudeness of some of the staff. I was very polite and I guess I just think that customers deserve a bit of respect. It' a shame. My husband, kids and I spend a good bit of money at restaurants. Lagniappe will never again see a dime of our money. (The sad thing is, we saw an almost identical review online...after giving them our business...It looks like there is something wrong with their credit card machine...and their manners!!!)
