We were exhausted. It was cheap. We paid $50. The man gave us a key and a remote. How weird. That should've been the clue to leave. After getting in bed and nearly falling asleep, we discovered that the bottom mattresses had dried blood that ran down the sides. Lights did not work so we couldn't check it out. As we got up the next morning, we discovered blood splatters on walls, curtains, lamp shades and ceiling. The housekeeping cane in and removed the sheets. One top mattress was completely saturated in blood. It appeared to be old. They said it was coffee, but there are no coffee machines. The towels were filthy. The soap was labeled Holiday Inn, but the sign out front said Crown Lodge. Comforter had large holes. As I threatened to call environmental health, they quickly moved the mattresses out. They told the police that they need a search warrant to check it out. Hiding something? I seriously think so. Don't stop here. Keep going.
