I usually go to A Piece of Cake when I want to get Asian-style cake in the International District, but the Yummy House Bakery is a pretty good place to try too. They have good cakes and other baked things like red bean buns. I think they just don't have quite as good a selection of cakes as A Piece of Cake which is a couple blocks away.
