Review content:
I was thrilled to find this gem of a day spa in my neighborhood of Los Feliz. Heres my quick story. It was a Saturday and I decided that I needed facial immediately. A bit apprehensive about finding just the right place in my neighborhood (I wasnt in the mood to drive any great distance) that would satisfy, I opened LA City Search, typed in my zip code and just chose. I picked dtox. To my pleasant surprise the guy who answered the phone explain that the products where all natural and with many organic options (It doesnt mention this on the website?) and that he could get me in, in an hour. If I wanted to come early he said, I could sit in the steam room. I was sold.
When I entered (after parking for free in the rear) I was again surprised by the well-chosen aesthetics. To me a well designed space speaks volumes about the energy of its inhabitants and creator. Think West Elm meets Asian water fountains. It was one of the cleanest spas Ive ever been to. Open for approx a month, its shinny new. So come get it while its fresh and the steam room doesnt smell. There are also fresh oranges in the water, blueberries for the eating and organic teas all while you can lounge in one of the atriums chaises soaking in the vitamin D that is pouring down upon you from the sun.
My esthetician was adorable and knowledgeable. The facial room was spacious and cozy. I could hear the water fountains in the atrium, which helped me to relax. My skin looked and felt great. I highly recommend this experience. dtox is totally handicap accessible too.
Pros: Clean, beautiful, organic products
Cons: Air conditioning a bit high in spa area but I warmed up after the steam room!
