Review content:
Some of these negative reviews come not only from a place of anger but from a truly low dental IQ. I am the granddaughter, daughter, niece and sister of practicing dentists who have wonderful reputations in several states. I was a licensed and registered dental hygienist until five years ago. I have been seeing Dr. Robert Zajac at both the Clinton Hwy and the Turkey Creek offices. I am no longer practicing and I was never employed by Dental Works or Dr. Robert Zajac. I have been thoroughly impressed by his expertise in diagnosis, that includes early diagnosis. The work he has performed on me and my family has been marveled at and complimented by the vast dental opinions in my family. I would never allow a dentist to perform work on me or mine if he/she didn't explain and be willing to answer my questions about their recommendations. Dr. Zajac and his staff have been consummate professionals. I checked Dr. Zajac's record before I even walked through the doors of Dental Works. His record is pristine and he is highly trained. Referrals out for orthodontic, endodontic and periodontal work have proved spot-on with the specialists. If you are getting poor explanations from your insurance company I am not surprised! I have never once dealt with an insurance company who did not want to at least try to deny payment. The maximum dental benefits have been roughly $1000.00 per year since the 1970's! In that decade, you could get your entire mouth looking "movie star quality"! Now that same amount will scarcely cover your biannual exams and cleanings. Many providers do not cover fluoride treatments! I grew up knowing how important they are--especially to children who are still waiting on permanent teeth. Double the importance if you live in a community where the water is not fluoridated. My children, my husband, and I know that the protection is worth the small cost in the long run. Your insurance benefits are between you and your employer--not you and your healthcare provider. Providers are governed not to waive co-pay.
