I am a first time customer who called Whipple plumbing a few days ago to make an appointment for a preventative drain cleaning. I had heard their radio commercial several months ago which impressed me. It talked about their goal of personal service and the long history of the company. That and the combination of their $69 flat rate fee made me write a note to myself and tape it next to my drain to use them the next time. The lady who made my reservation (which I had to change once) was very pleasant and professional.
Now I come to why I am so impressed with this company. My technician (I actually feel that way since I will always ask for him) provided me the best drain cleaning experience I have had as a homeowner for over 35 years. He started with a cool red mat at my front door and plastic over his shoes with a smile and a handshake. He was very personable and pleasant to talk to regarding the job and explaining what he would be doing. He gave me a brochure to see while he completed the job in the basement. Afterwards, he talked to me about their service programs and explained why they would be a benefit in my situation. I appreciated the opportunity to hear about it. I explained that starting Monday I would be shelling out over 50K in remodeling expenses and just wasn't in the mood to spend more money so he didn't have much of a chance. Bottom line is, he impressed me as a very sharp,trustworthy, and hardworking person who takes pride in his work and in his company. I will be calling him next time and every time in the foreseeable future. And no, he did not buy me lunch to do this but I would have enjoyed his company! Their sign is now in my yard now and you can be sure I will recommend people to call your company and get John if they can, but trust that the rest of their workers are very good as well.
