Forget the Fisher-Price "Little People." The sweet realism of Tiny Doll House could make you a collector, and will delight any serious minaturist.
The detail in here will stagger you. Tiny toothbrushes rest in itty-bitty holders on little sinks. The dog's bowl and bone sit beside a stray slipper, all 1/25 real size. Everywhere you look, diaramas display the possibilities for every room in your miniature house - from attics with spinning wheels and trunks to the garden shed with its tools.
You can even find mini food items with recognizable brands and labels.
There are inexpensive items here ($10-20) that your child can afford, but some special prizes - like the deluxe dollhouses costing many hundreds of dollars - you might want to save for Christmas or a special birthday. Some of the fancier, more detailed furniture and houses are thousands of dollars.
A really fun browse on the Upper East Side. Bring your reading glasses! Closed on Sundays.
