Istanbul Restaurant in Hollywood beach is not the best Turkish restaurant in town.
However, if you go to the beach to get a tan or for a swim, and you crave Turkish food, Istanbul restaurant is just on the beach very convenirntly located, and the food is not bad, worth trying. Especially the doner kebabin pita bread (the gyro in pita) is my favorite. You should also try the bakalavas. The owner is a very friendly person, and he will tell you a lot about Turkish culture and cuisine if you inquire.
It is a beachy place with moderate prices, a restaurant where you can watch the ocean and eat at the same time, the good thing is you can keep your swimming shorts or bikinis on when you are dining at this place, because it is just on the beach already.
