Businiess name:  Salyer, Hank, Dds - Dentistry For Children
Review by:  Aimee F.
Review content:
There wasn't a proper category for this listing. Dentistry for Children is a pediatric dental office. Dr. Hank has been our pediatric dentist since his early days in Richmond--going on eight years now. I used to drive from Irvine to visit him, and now we drive from Winchester. He has worked with all of our children from infancy on, including my oldest who was traumatized by another pediatric dentist as a toddler. Dr. Hank was so patient and gentle with him, willing to just see him as often as it took, getting to know him before doing any work on him. As it turned out he only needed to see him that first time before he won my son's trust. He came to love Dr. Hank so much that as a four or five year old he would beg to go to Dr. Hank for all of his maladies. My three daughters now love going to the dentist, as Dr. Hank is the only dentist they've ever seen, and they are always quick to remind me to make check-up appointments for them. He is one of the few pediatric dentists in the area who works with insurance we've ever had, and other patients have told me he's one of the few who accepts Medicaid, because he truly believes the dental health of the child is more important than the hassle of wrestling with various insurance companies. He has allowed us to work out payment plans with us, and has never been pushy, or reluctant to see one of our children because we still were paying on an earlier treatment. I can't recommend him highly enough.
