Review content:
Ok, so I live around here and went here for a friends birthday. The evening ran from completely ridiculous to actually having a good time. First of all, even though I think some of the reviews have been put here by staff members, Babu really is as nice as everyone says. I walked in and it was so crowded that there was no room to move. My friend had a 'table' which really doesn't mean much here. For the first 45 minutes I just had to stand and rotate in the same spot because there was literally no room. Then, the fire department came in and shut the place down until 100 people left. I stayed because of my friends b-day. After a bunch of people left, the party actually went smoothly. The place was much more enjoyable after it had thinned out a bit and getting a drink and doing a little dancing was much easier. The DJ that night was TERRIBLE. I love 80's music (more New Wave though) but either way playing 'It's Raining Men' after Madonna's 'Like A Prayer' made me feel like I was in a gay club or something. My experience that night made it really hard to actually judge this place. With the amount of options you have in the city, and in this neighborhood alone, I would probably go somewhere else.
