I've been working with Josue Vargue at Boardwalk Properties for the past few months as I prepared my move from LA to Boston. Being from the beach I wasn't sure what I was getting into and had a limited knowledge of the distinct locales of Boston. My friends urged me to go with a broker although being from LA I wasn't sure what the value add would be since I was only renting. My first day in Boston, Josue pretty much gave me a walking tour of the city and showed me about 15 different apartments - all very good quality places as well as gave me a sampler of what I could get for my money in the Brighton, Allston, and Mission Hill. Josue not only knew the properties but his follow up was excellent and his enthusiasm for the city and for finding the right place for me was contagious. The fees were standard but well worth it. I don't think I could pick a place in Boston without Josue at Boardwalk.
