Review content:
We live in the neighborhood and would dearly like to find a restaurant that serves decent continental cuisine that we could claim as our own. The ambiance and service at 3 doors is terrific but sadly the food is completely hit or miss. On two separate occasions at least one of the dishes our party had ordered was virtually inedible due to over-salting. I also found the italian sausage in the penne a la vodka to be revoltingly gristly. What is maddening about this place is that while some dishes are poorly prepared, others really shine. It seems to me that this is a restaurant that once had food to match its ambiance but has gone sadly adrift.
Pros: Off hawthorne, gracious staff, ambiance
Cons: poor preparation, long wait
