It took three tries to get a technician to come to the house to do a summer check on the furnace/air-conditioning. When the technician got there and pulled my furnace blower motor out he told me I had a mess on my hands, that the motor was spitting oil and about to "go", as in quit. The furnace was only 5 years old. He said we needed a new motor for sure and that we might get 5 years out of that. He said what was really needed was a new furnace and air conditioner as ours were too small for the home. He wrote up a list of things to replace; capacitors, motor, coolant etc and wanted $1198 for all of it or $897 if we joined their "club membership" and paid them $20 a month for NOTHING. I said no to everything and had him leave the motor on the floor and go home. Called another guy the next day from Bill's Comfort Systems, he was at my home within an hour and a half, said there was nothing wrong with my motor or the size of my heating/cooling units or the size of the blower and motor. He charged my $69.00 to put everything back together that the Whipple crook had pulled out. I would steer clear of Whipples if I were you. Pros: none Cons: Overpriced and dishonest
