Review content:
I had to deal with a dead LCD monitor today at work and it reminded me of my dealings with Ben's TV last year. I sent them two LCDs for repair (one at a time in two separate instances). The first one was repaired fairly quickly--took about a week. It worked for a few days and died again, so we sent it back in again. Time passed by and on a weekly basis I would call in for updates. Each week was an excuse about the part was on order or it would be done the next week. Unfortunately, I decided to send in another monitor for repair around this time too. After about 2 months, Ben finally said he wasn't going to be able to fix the first monitor. The 2nd monitor he said he would be able to fix. After another month of no results, I negotiated a loaner monitor be given to me until the 2nd LCD was fixed. After about 3 months we got the 2nd LCD back and returned the loaner. After 2 days, it went bad again. We gave him the LCD back to try to fix it again and to make a long story short(er), after 6 months of following up, I gave up and stopped calling. Maybe TVs are easier to repair than monitors, but I will never take an LCD to Ben's TV for repair again.
