Review content:
I have been doing competitive triathlons since 1999 in the NC series. Over the winter of 2005-2006 I fell out of shape and gained several extra pounds. As a New Years resolution for 2006 I committed to the TNT program in an effort to decrease body fat, get back to my racing weight, and to become even more competitive in the NC triathlon series. I used the program for 24 weeks but the amazing part is what happened in just 6-8 weeks.
January 25th 2006: I weighed in at 185 lbs and 23% body fat On the first day my health educator, Angela, took my race goals, eating habits, my 2006 workout plan, and race schedule into account and developed and prescribed a specific nutrition plan and even a ?race week? nutrition plan for my season ending Half Iroman race in the Fall of 2006. In addition, Angela performed a metabolic test for me, which helped further shape the specifics of my nutrition plan .
March 2006: After 6-8 short weeks of following this plan, I lost 12 lbs (185-173) and dropped my body fat from 23% to 11.3%!!
March ? September 2006: I completed 9 Triathlon races in the North Carolina Set Up Events Series and placed 22 out of 355 individuals in season points totals in my age group of 40-45 ?Male Open? registered athletes.
Every race came with a personal best time from my prior racing seasons. I stayed the course with my nutrition plan and competed in Ironman Florida in 2008 and placed in the top 33% overall with a finishing time of 11 hours and 37 minutes using the same nutritional principles I learned and practiced from TNT. As a bonus, when most people are running out of gas as they embark upon the final marathon portion of the race, after having swam 2.4 miles in the Gulf of Mexico and riding 112 miles on a hard bike seat, I had a strong marathon finish of 3 hours and 53 minutes and ranked 300/2400 in the run.
I credit all of my past and future success to this program and want to share this with you as it was life changing for me.
