I discovered India Garden two weeks ago and really loved it. Lots of my friends are from India and they took me to tons of Indian food places in Oakland and it definitely is better than all of them --- at Star of India, for example, the server was rude and the food was pricey. It wasn't as fun and it doesn't have a bar . India Garden has a fun environment and cheap food and they also have this awesome bar with the best drink prices I've seen around --- on Saturdays you can get Bodington's and Guinness for like $2.50! Not even local bars have that. Also there is half-priced food 10-1.
