Businiess name:  Game Universe

Good: It sells N64, SNES, NES, Genesis, PS1 and Genesis games which I can't get elsewhere (unless you drive to Worcester). The prices aren't great but when you factor in travel time and cost it's a better option for me. One of the guys there is pretty knowledgeable and nice, but that's contrasted against the rest of the staff who are a nasty combination of rude, immature, stupid, self-congratulatory, and disinterested. Whatever - they still get my money.. Bad: The place is dirty, small, smelly and full of the same people hanging around to trap you in an awkward conversation or just gross you out. Every time I go in I hold my breath, and try not to make eye contact - if you make idle conversation you'll have to fake a phone call to get out. The prices aren't great; most things can be had on Amazon or Ebay for cheaper and in better shape, and their sell values make Best Buy, Gamestop, and Craigslist look better and better. Snarky staff too.. Improvements: The place could use a fresh coat of paint, new staff, more stock on older games, better lighting, and some highschool graduates behind the counter. They need to clear out the hangouts too; it's like being out front of a bodega downtown except instead of scary gangbangers lounging out front you've got a dozen unwashed unemployed nerds hanging out inside scaring off half of the adults who might want to come in with their kids - you're never gonna make money if you scare away the kids personal bankers.. Other: Place seems to have gone down hill in recent years. I was out of state for most of the last two years and I was surprised to find the place near empty of stock, in disrepair, and with maybe 1/3 the functional lightbulbs that they'd had in the past. The place feels like a dank cave, and the employees are some of the snarkiest elitist assholes I've met in my life. What happened to my old Game Universe? It looks like a bunch of the hangabouts took it upon themselves to post things here; they're very biased..
