I had Precision Air & Heating out to service all 3 of my A/C units. 2 of them are 14 year old, and 1 is just a 5 yr old. I heard about the "Monsoon" special and thought since I couldn't remember when I serviced them last, it would be a good idea.
WOW! It's a good thing I did, the unit that was 5 yrs old was plugged up, the pan in the attic that caught the water from the unit was about to over flow!
I was very thankful they caught it, otherwise, I would have been fixing drywall! The funny thing is that I still saw the water coming from the drain, but it was just a dribble, I could not believe my eyes when the technician showed me how much water was really in the pan.
No one really tells you how to take care of your A/C, I am glad I did! The tech was really nice and looked professional, he did not try to sell me, just educate me. I did not know you were supposed to do this yearly!
He also indicated that the builder never insulated my attic! @#$%!
