I believe we booked on [--] and got a cheap rate of $80/night. I came to Portland to attend an event at the PSU campus and see a bit of downtown so this hotel was perfect for me. You can easily walk to campus or downtown in about 20 mintues or hop on a bus. I took public transport from the airport and had no problems, their directions on their website are spot on. The outdoor pool is seasonal so I wasn't able to enjoy that. The gym has older equipment but I was the only one in there which was nice. Stay includes breakfast but I never got up early enough to try any! I had problems connecting to the internet from my room but when I called the front desk they were able to help provide a user name and passcode. The room is average - I would say 2 maybe 2.5 stars but it's clean and safe and we didn't have any problems with it. Parking is a bit expensive if you bring car but that is probably true for other area hotels. The only thing I will say is the layout of the hotel is a bit strange. It's kinda like a winding maze that fluctuates between the indoors and outdoors...kinda hotel, kinda motel. But I would stay there again unless I could afford to pay another $100/night to bring me up to a 3 star plus place.
