Review content:
The above pictures are a finished patio by Brian Hoffman. He wrote the job up, brought the crew, instructed the crew, and signed off on the job. This is what my patio looks like today and which Mr. Hoffman refuses to correct appropriately. Pretty sad, huh? To date, he still refuses to do the right thing and dig up this mess and start over, but to tell you the truth, I would never have him put another patio in for me. If you want references for a paver patio, look at someone's patio two to three years after its completion, not right after it is finished. Look at mine. I have many pictures if anyone is interested and I will gladly show them. We hired Brian Hoffman of Hoffman's Green Thumb Landscapes to erect a paver patio on our one year old home. He personally showed up to examine the property and we agreed on a price. When the all-Hispanic crew arrived to start work in the morning, Brian would immediately leave for the day, thereby leaving the entire job unsupervised. None of the workers were American, and only one Hispanic barely spoke any English at all and mostly pointed and smiled. Many times the workers had questions and our phone calls to Brian to intervene were rarely ever returned. After paying Green Thumb over $5,000.00 for this patio because it appeared okay, it was not what you could see that was wrong with it, but what was not done and hidden from sight. The patio is now collapsing and the pavers are sinking into the ground, all in just a few short years. Along with the paver patio, the stone steps, which they also erected, are having a race with the pavers to see which can sink in the ground the fastest. Our table and chairs are rocking and moving like a carnival ride when you try to sit down and eat. The dog's water bowl, which sits on the patio, has 2 inches of water on one end and four inches on the other due to sloping of the patio. Pretty soon we are going to have to tie a rope around our dogs so they don't roll ff the patio and fall into the pool due to the sloping. Our patio is the laughing stock of friends and neighbors when they visit and the jokes just keep on coming. Our patio by far won the worst paver job among our friends and relatives, but this is one award we were not happy to win. Letters to Green Thumb brought no livable results and they went on to pass blame for their work failing. Even after an Engineering report was obtained by our homeowner's insurance and the results given to Brian Hoffman personally, both Brian and his father, Chris of Green Thumb REFUSED to do what is required to correct all the wrongs that were done and to perform the necessary steps which were missed during the installation of the patio and steps. Their ads make a lot of promises, but their real actions speak the truth about how their customers are treated. I have no plans on dropping this complaint at any time in the future and have every intention of letting a judge decide the outcome. Cons: Tries to downplay the seriousness of their mistakes.
