Review content:
I have been reading the reviews and I think people are just looking for a reason to complain. First, the parking. There is plenty. Over 1,000 spaces then by maplewood mall. Altogether, over 4,000 spaces to accomodate a club whose capacity is 4,400...for free! If you have to walk two minutes through the mall parking lot and you are upset, ARRIVE EARLIER. Second, the Myth does not and has NEVER overbooked a show. There is a set capacity, and therefore a set number of tickets. The reason Jason Mraz was so crowded, it was SOLD OUT both nights. What did you expect? Next, teen night is 16-20. So those of you complaining about the young girls and how they act, SHUT UP. You know they're 16 cause that's what NITRO is. If you are 18 or older and appalled a this, you should have gone to the 18+ clun night MYTH had EVERY saturday. Front door staff in not incompetant. Nor do they aggresively search anyone. The people searching have over 2 years of experience and are fast and unintrusive. The only time the girls searching would ever say or do anything disrespectful. All night they here "Feel me up more", "I know you like it", and "Check my d!ck, B****, that's where I hid them". Yes, they are called names by male patrons who think women are objects for their entertainment. They are also often grabbed and touched inappropriately. So, if you don't want them to be mean, just treat them with respect. Hell, don't say anything at all they like that too. They are young ladies acting professional and doing their job; which is crucial to your safety. (People would be stunned if they knew how many guns and knives we find in a night. We literally have BOXES full of knives confiscated). Act like adults and I promise they will be nice to you. Drinks in the bathroom: Don't be stupid that's how underage people would consume if we let people in with drinks. Like in stalls, with closed doors, away from people who might try to stop them, like security. DUH. If you want to know wy certain policies are in place, you could ask. Just letting you know. Finally, if a bouncer approaches you, and is being an a$$, keep in mind it is because he thinks you are doing something wrong. Easiest way to deal with it, COMPLY and it will get sorted out, you will get let back in. Worst way to deal; scream, fight, name-call, threaten. If you behave this way, you will be seen as an unstable threat to others and you will not be let back in. There are cameras EVERYWHERE and mangers do not want people kicked out. They will investigate claims and treat you with respect, as long as you keep your cool too. So, in order to have a great time at the Myth, where there IS lots of free parking and overfill lots,be nice, behave, use your damn head Pros: great venue, staff, experience Cons: pricey drinks?
