I admit it. I'm a total newbie when it comes to day spas. I know, what kind of girl am I? When my husband found his dream job and it just happened to coincide with his birthday, I knew a massage was in order (yes, for him!)! I had seen commercials for this particular day spa, and enjoyed the fact that it was decorated more like a place you would see in Ireland with it dark wood and hunter green accents. I didn't want to take him to a fru-fru girly place. I e-mailed the spa several times, and all my questions were answered quickly and the people seemed so nice! They even agreed to go along with my birthday surprise and pretend that I was there to get my eyebrows done! Imagine the look on his face when the lady called his name! The waiting area was posh and comfortable, and several people came out to meet me because they had heard of his birthday surprise. He had a fantastic experience, too. I was worried about his reaction, since he is a manly-man, but he came out completely relaxed and telling me that he loved me! The massage therapist was very professional and attended to every detail, including temperature, lighting, and even provided him with a bottle of cold water afterword's to make sure he stayed hydrated. I paid before he came out and was pleased with the results. I had shopped around, and found Fox & Hounds to be the most reasonably priced. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, both for my husband and for myself.
