If you want good southern cuisine do not come to TART. My friends and I went there on a Saturday night and made reservations. When you show up and the restaurant is dead on a Saturday night in LA, that's not a good sign. We all opened up our menu's and were less than impressed. A bunch of mediocre salads and sandwiches, hardly any dinner options. I ordered two sides for dinner since nothing looked good to me. I got veggies and the "killer" mac n' cheese. Yes it's killer since it destroyed my taste buds. If you make Kraft macaroni and cheese and add some velveeta on it with a sprinkling of crackers that was basically it. Two friends got the burgers which they thought were all right and my boyfriend got the ravioli which was boring and flavorless. Their garnish was a bunch of cherry tomatoes...exciting. I am from NC and the best southern cooking I've found so far is at Zeke's BBQ, save your money for them instead, now they have the KILLER mac n' cheese!
I gave TART two stars because the service was good, but how awful would it be to have bad service when no one else is in the restaurant?
