I've been to Astor Hair many times with good and bad results, because I never remembered the name of the person who did my hair last, and just took whoever was available just to get a cheap haircut. But I put 5 stars here because that's how many Narcy deserves.
A few months ago I came into Astor Hair with a picture of what I wanted (a Victoria Beckham style bob) and was guided toward Narcy. Before that I'd been growing out a pretty awful haircut from another Astor Hair employee. When this haircut went well, I made sure to grab Narcy's card so I could request her next time!
I usually have a pretty good idea of what I want when I go in to get my hair cut, but I'm not great at communicating it. Narcy was extremely patient. She had good judgment, checked with me often, and tweaked it until it was exactly right. I got numerous compliments on my haircut from total strangers, including another hairstylist with whom I shared a random elevator ride. Not bad for $30.
I went back to Narcy the other day for a similar cut. The first one wasn't a fluke. For great looking short hairstyles, request Narcy!
