Was good 2 years ago, but would not join again. Bad for working out solo. Awful parking situation unless you go at the crack of dawn or the middle of the day.
This gym has changed direction to almost completely cater to people who want to take classes, ignoring the needs of people who just want to work out solo. If you like Thai Boxing, Spin Classes, and Body Pump classes, then this is the place for you. It's relatively clean and the people who work there do seem to know what they are talking about.
But forget it if you want to work out solo. Be prepared for loud music coming from 2 or 3 different areas of the gym that aren't necessarily closed off. Loud enough to be heard even if you have your own headphones.
Also be prepared to be almost run over as you are walking by throngs of people running laps around the gym as part of a class. Or to find out there are no dumbbells under 30lbs left because people in another class took all of those.
The machines and weight equipment keep getting moved every other month to more inconvenient locations, many not in front of mirrors anymore, to make more and more room for more and more classes.
And finally, the parking situation is ridiculously awful. Unless you like working out real early in the morning (and even then it's not always assured you'll get a spot) or can work out in the middle of the day, don't even bother trying to go work out. You won't find a parking spot.
There's an LA Fitness opening up near by soon, so I'll probably just join that.
