Review content:
I had Sears air duct cleaning service come out to clean my ducts. Upon arrival the man told me that the ducts were not servicable because they were made of fiberglass. He said that in order to do cleaning, they would have to be replaced. I agreed to this. He said that while he was here he could clean the furnace to start. He cleaned the furnace with an air compressor in the house thereby dispersing fibrous dusty material throughout the immediate area. I found fiberglass particles 15 feet away scattered over the counter and floor. Although he had a vacuum, it was insufficient to collect particles being hit with the air compressor hose. Then a few days later the guys came in to replace and then clean the ducting system. They did a good job replacing the existing ducting but when it came to cleaning the parts of the non-replaced ducting, they did a horrible job. They started using an air compressor to clean the duct registers without using any vacuum or suction. Dust and particles were spreading all over the house. When I questioned him about this, he responded, "there is no dust, you can see there is no dust". I immediately responded, "then why are you wearing a mask?" In the end, I had a large amount of debris all over the floor around EVERY duct in every room of the house. Those were the particles I could see. However, dust was scattered all over the house in every room of the house. It is a bad sign if you have to tell them how to do their job. They also damaged several of my recessed lights in the hallway where they were working above in the attic. I called them several times to work out the issue but they have done nothing to rectify the situation. My house is in a more hazardous condition then before the duct cleaning.
