A big new shiny Petco opened in Cookeville last year. Of course we had to go and check it out. I thought the prices were average, they were not any cheaper than Cookeville's locally owned pet store (Exotic Tropicals) The selection of pets wasn't really any better either. They had a few more birds, reptiles and rodents than the local pet store, but the fish selection was not as good. The employees weren't as helpful. I looked for flea medication for my dog for 30 minutes before finding it. No one offered to help. I think I had rather stick with the local pet store. The attention you get is worth the .10 cents extra you might have to pay.
