St. Francis Fountain is a 50's style soda fountain/diner, and not in a Johnny Rockets kind of way. You feel as though you've been transported to another time, from the little booths to the candy counter and the wooden phone booth. The food is good too, especially the milkshakes, where they use their homemade ice cream. But a word of warning: weekend brunchtime gets busy, when it becomes a haven for Mission district hipsters.
