I got a great suggestion from a friend about Giovanni D'Italia shoe repair on Garden St. (and 7th). I've now taken to him several pairs of my shoes and my husbands shoes. Each time, they come back looking great. I had a pair of leather platform-like sandal that I thought were on their last legs. He was able to fix them and have it done in 2 days. I can't tell you how many pairs of heels I have brought needing lifts that I lost somewhere on the streets of Hoboken or NYC. His prices are not too expensive (not cheap either), but I think you get what you pay for. So if you have a pair or two of shoes that you love, Giovanni will help you get a little more life out of them. He's also open early and open late for those of us with busy work schedules!
