Last weekend we decided to try Ocean, the new seafood restaurant at the former location of Mao in Cherry Creek. We had spectacular food and beverages, found a new wine that I like, and tried a "signature" cocktail. We started out with a few drinks and a blue crab appetizer inside before moving to the patio for dinner. We had a pineapple mojito that was great and a tea drink that wasn't great. The lump crab appetizer was great. We also enjoyed the friendly bartenders.
Outside for dinner we stuck to a few appetizers and split one main fish dish. The menu is similar to Nine75 (due to the same chef), and it is a lot of appetizers combined with entrée selections. We split the miso cod, which is the Chef's signature dish for a reason. We enjoyed the food, dessert, and the service was very good as well. I also had a glass of Bennett Cabernet, that I really liked. It was nice to see good wines by the glass.
