My husband and I are on a never-ending search for decent Thai in the STL area. It's frustrating because our 1st experience w/ Thai was at Bangkok Gardens in Columbia, MO (super great - go even if you're just passing thru!) which is far and above any other Thai place we've ever experienced. Thai Kitchen in Maryland Heights is not bad, although it does not match our Bangkok Gardens standard. We ordered the Pad Thai (our benchmark, if it's bad the whole restaurant is) and another dish that had ground beef, flat egg noodles, and a brown gravy sauce. The Pad Thai was not bad, although not spicy at all, which always annoys me. The flavor was good though, it tasted like there was a little lemon in the sauce, and the peanuts weren't overwhelming. The ground beef dish had good flavor, and was slightly more spicy, which is crucial to any Thai dish.
Bottom line, don't know how authentic it is, but it tastes good so it's worth it if you want something vaguely ethnic.
