Ever been to a restaurant connected to a gas station? I have and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The Depot Cafe in Frisco, TX doesn't look like much on the outside but don't let it fool you. The decor inside is based on a train theme and the restaurant is clean, clean, clean. Breakfast is just what you would expect; no fuss, good home cooking. One of my favorites is the sausage biscuits and gravy. Yummy! The omelets are huge and packed full of your choice of fillings. The fried chicken at lunch is said to be the best in town. They make their own deserts and they are stacked high on the counter. It is counter service and self serve drinks but when the food is this good, you really don't mind. You can find old timers, yuppies and moms with mini vans all enjoying the secret that is the Depot Cafe in Frisco, TX.
