We called Jonny's appliance to look at a stove/range hinge repair. We told Jonny's Appliance Repair we would not authorize the repair until we had an estimate of the repair costs which included labor and parts. The service person called and told us the repair would be $110.00. We authorized the repair. When our credit card was charged, the bill was $195.00 and in the end we had to purchase one of the hinges separately for an additional charge of $57.00. Jonny's Appliance had told us they had both hinges available to them. When we called to inquire about the cost difference, the owner implied we had never spoken with the service person because only she could give out estimates. We had never spoken to her. We feel this business is not honest or willing to stand behind their word. If the service person should not have given us an estimate that is not our fault. How would we know their internal policies. The owner would not admit any of her employees had made a mistake. We had specifically told Jonny's that we needed an accurate estimate before we could authorize any work because this would determine if we would replace the stove/range or decide to repair the unit. We cannot recommend this outfit because we do not feel they are honest. We feel this was a bait and switch deal because we do not live in Bozeman. J Kugler more
