Shocked by "New Owner's" loyalty to customer 5/9/2011

After being told on the phone back in March that they would accept our gift certificate that was going to be three days past due and even writing down the name of who I talked to on the phone, the NEW OWNER said she wouldn't accept it because she doesn't make money on those and offered us a "free dessert". In turn I told them that I would have made an earlier reservation if I would have known this, but the free dessert was all she would do. We have spent years praising this restaurant and were completely shocked that this was the response. In the end, after actually still eating there (which I now wish we didn't) we ordered a dessert and it was still on the bill. Very disappointed that a "classy" restaurant and our favorite restaurant would respond like this. We will never go to this place again and will never talk good of this place again. more
