I like to be thrifty and I like fine quality. The best of both worlds are shopping at the better department stores and checking out their clearance tables, especially after a holiday. Yesterday I visited Macy's in Ocala, Florida.
I grew up in NYC loving Macy's and was happy when this one came to a county near me. Besides 75% off Christmas stuff, there are also practical items like towels on clearance at 80% off because they are discontinuing last years colors. Imagine Ralph Lauren bath mat for $4.99 a piece. Macys has a rewards system for cash off monthly deals. Take advantage of this and newspaper coupons. I just love this store. Clean bathrooms too.
