I had never been a fan of Lebanese food until I had it at La Shish. I cannot say enough about the quality of the food. Everything tastes so fresh and so flavorful. It's the kind of place that feels like a reward every time you visit. It's a little more expensive -- $11-15 per entree depending on what you get -- but if you're willing to pay, this is the place to go for Arabic food.
For my birthday last year, my significant other threw a surprise party. What did our guests have to eat? La Shish! I was so excited, because it is hands down my favorite food of the city. They packaged everything in portable aluminum tins and it was just as fresh.
The restaurant environment itself is authentically Lebanese. On some nights you'll catch the live music and see the hot bread being made. The best part is when they come out and sing Happy Birthday in 2 languages!
