The interior of Luigi's Gourmet Express is a no-frills eatery, but the offerings more than make up for the small often crowded space. Their soups are well-known and are hearty and filling, especially on cold days. Their Chicken Francaise is incomparable; served on focaccia or torpedo rolls, it is a filling lunch or light dinner. They also make a great Chicken Marsala. The desserts are passable; they look tempting in the cases, but are not always fresh. They offer fresh tasty rolls with every purchase; take them! Lunch time seems to be the busiest time; if you're in a rush, call ahead to order take out. And skip the chicken salad - it's not popular and sometimes it tastes old.
