I have a fetish for blackbean soup, I'll admit. Therefore, the Zoup in Troy gets my four starts (but not five, since it's in a tacky mini-mall). They fufilled my desire for a cup of blackbean soup and all was well. The place kind of has a new-fast-food feel to it, like Qdoba or Chipotle (sans the burritos). It's clean and the decor is appealing. The soup is delicious. I just wish the location wasn't in a minimall, with the windows overlooking a cracking parking lot and a dirt lot next door. more

Good Soups 5/8/2006

Good soups and sandwiches. Its a bit pricey for soup, but most restaurants charge this much for soup. I like the monthly changes on the soup and cleanliness is very good. It's a nice change from the fast food chains. more

Great idea 4/4/2006

I like Zoup, they offer about 12 different soups each day, in 4 different sizes. They also carry salads and panini sandwiches, so you can make a combo. Everything is fresh, and has great flavor. My office orders Zoup for lunch quite a bit, so their selection can get tiresome, but for someone stopping in monthly, it's perfect. I think the prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of what you get. more

Great soup 7/25/2005

Zoup offers freshly prepared soups each day. The menu also includes sandwiches and fresh salads. The selections vary each day. There are seasonal soups like Gazpacho for the summer. They always have low fat and vegetarian selections. Some people complain that $4 is a lot to pay for a cup of soup, but when you consider the quality of the ingredients and the time it takes to prepare soup, it is not so bad. more
