Zhen Reflections Spa & Salon

This spa is small, intimate and luxurious. This spa is no where near my home, but I go there anyways. The service has never been less than excellent. The setting is lovely and relaxing. more

My experience at Zhen Reflections only leads me to believe it could have been so much better. The facility is very unique and very beautiful, but there is a reason that the two times I have had appointments there, there are almost no other patrons. It has been almost empty on both occasions, on a Saturday of all days! Its always a good sign to go to a business that is actually busy. I believe the reasons for this are: 1. The prices are way too high. The idea of great products and services might be a great idea, but lets face it. The spa is in Spring Park, MN, not New York or London or something. It was also built in a condo/loft building that has very few units sold and many more in foreclosure from what I have been told. 2. The owner has the worst customer service in the world. Her and I talked quite a bit and it was clear that she doesn't have any background in spas, management or customer service. She had a serious attitude problem and was too busy yelling at someone on the phone to care about my experience. Her employees seem to make a nice effort, but the two that I had for my services were very inexperienced and had a total lack of knowledge. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Terrible Service, no business more

I recently brought my Daughter and several of her friends in for spa treatments for my daughter's birthday. What a treat! The owner worked with me in coordinating or services and made sure the girls were comfortable and treated like VIPS. While the girls were just thrilled to be there I was really impressed with the staff?s compassion and knowledge of their trade. Pros: Great for parties! The steam room is really neat! more

I have had two experiences now with Zhen Reflections spa and I will not use their services again. The first experience was when a friend booked services for a group of 8 of us a few days prior to the services. When I arrived I was told that there was no staff available to service our group. The manager and owner then proceeded to blame us for not confirming the appointments even though my friend, who is a former spa owner herself, insists that she did. After a lengthy discussion she was able to locate staff to accommodate some of the group, but no apology was made. I decided to give them a second chance because the facility is beautiful and staff itself was very good. I made appointments for 10 people for a bachelorette party for a friend's daughter over a month in advance. I was called by the owner10 days prior to the appointments and asked for a credit card to guarantee all of the appointments or they would be cancelled. I explained that this was a bachelorette party, invitation had been sent, we were not going to not show up. Also, I did not personally know all the girls coming and did not want to guarantee their services with my credit card. I asked if even one person did not make it for some reason if we would still be charged and she said yes. She actually said that if someone was truly sick she would not charge but if they were just hung over from drinking she would. I have had many spa appointments over the years and have never been asked for a credit card prior to the appointment. It is extremely unfortunate that such a beautiful facility is owned by someone who has no business in the service industry. I have been to Zhen Spa at least four times now. My friend and I make this a ritual every 6 weeks. I always have a facial and love every minute of it. I've had the sugar scrub, massages, haircuts, manicures, and waxing. My friend has gotten the permanent make-up and had facials, massages, and waxing. We've always been pleased with our services and have always been treated like we're special. I highly recommend it to everyone. more

I recently went to Zhen Reflections to have a massage. My experience started when I walked in the door. I was presented with a hot towel that was infused with essential oils. I was then asked my shoe size, and was given slippers. Next I was taken to the women's locker room where I was given a nice comfy robe. I was then escorted to the lounge, where I had a cup of tea, and waited for my therapist. My massage was with Angela. She was awesome. She asked me what kind of pressure I liked, and used an amazing oil that smelled like coconuts. This was truly one of THE BEST massages I have had! I felt very comfortable with her. The staff was attentive and very helpful and friendly. more

I recently went to Zhen Spa & Salon. I had an appointment for a facial, but soon found out they they also did permanent makeup and eyelash extensions. I had the most wonderful facial. They used Kate Somerville products that are from Hollywood. Evidentally Kate Somerville does skin care services to many celebs! Who knew??!! Anyhow, as I started talking with the esthetician, she told me how she does permanent makeup (eyeliner, brows & lips). I soon went back and got the permanent makeup done. WOW! Talk about a steady hand, and it looks great. I had an eyelash enhancement, and it looks great. I am going to go back and get lash extensions next. Thus place is amazing. The staff was so eager to help and pamper. They gave me an oshibori (?) when I checked in, and brought me back to the locker room and actually showed me how to work the locks. You wont find that at the day spas in the area, let alone if they have lockers for belongings. I was then met after I changed and they brought me into their relaxation lounge. WOW again. They did not miss one detail. My therapist then came and introduced herself and took me back to my room. Along the way, she gave me a tour so I could see some of the other rooms there. WOW again! I was given the best service, and no hard sales, I ended up buying the whole kit n caboodle though! So far, it's been great for my skin! If you are looking for the ultimate spa & salon, this is definitely the place HONEST! They also have a couples room with a huge tub and fireplace for those romantic nights with your hubby/partner. I was truly impressed with Zhen Reflections. It has a very unique decor and some interesting treatments that I have actually not heard of before. Their staff is very eager to please and to educate people on what they offer, as well as the products that they use. I have been to many salon's and spa's that have very unenthusiastic staff, which has been very discouraging. This is not the case at Zhen. The staff seems truly excited about being there and when they were explaining the products, their enthusiasm became very obvious. I absolutely would recommend Zhen Reflections and plan to go back. more

I'm an avid spa goer and I live in the western suburbs. I have been to some of the luxurious spas in Mexico and Las Vegas such as Adventuras Spa Palace and Mandalay Bay etc.. I was surprised to find that Zhen Reflections is on the same caliber, if not better, right in my backyard. Upon entering I was greeted with a scented hot towel for my hands and given spa slippers. I was given a tour on the way to the locker room and could not help noticing the attention to detail from the Fortuny and Murano light fixtures to the glass tiles and much more. I came to this spa after hearing about it's exclusive services and gorgeous interior design and truth be told, this spa is by far the best I've experienced yet. From the moment I walked in I was intrigued by the way I was welcomed and comforted. You're catered to here and that is something you don't see in many spas or salons. Most places, you make your appointment and show up and then wait until your service simply begins and ends. But at Zhen, it's not only a service but a clarifying experience that makes you feel you've left with something peaceful and maybe even a few products..that actually work! ""Goodbuy"" Target? Hello Zhen! My dollar spent was (as it should be) well worth it and I will come back as often as I can now that I know what a real quality spa should be like! Their staff is knowledgeable and care about showing results as much as I needed to see them. I came in to try their float tub and received the age defying facial, both were amazing, my face feels like a baby's everyday and I want everyone I know to float now that I've researched the proven health benefits! Pros: Elite service and skill, scenic drive, amazing look, perfect location Cons: I wish I could get more medical grade services here where I feel comfortable. I recently visited Zhen Reflections on a Friday morning in the lake Minnetonka area. I was just driving by and noticed this beautiful spa was opened. Upon entering I was greeted by the owner, a wonderfully welcoming women who personally showed my around her new spa and all of the breathtaking amenities offered. Having recently moved back home to pursue a Law degree after working as a hair stylist in Manhattan, at Bumble and bumble. I have understand the value of quality service.
