I drive from the east bay to get their fresh salmon sashimi. My wife, who is not a fan of any fish let alone raw... And she loves Yum Yum salmon sashimi

I use to work for Yum Yum fish and so did one of my friends. 3 words of caution: MASSIVE RODENT PROBLEM. The place is not sanitary and a lot of the stuff is contaminated. ...

Yum Yum Fish is NOT Great Anymore 1/20/2007

Since the change in ownership the Sushi is horrible. The last time I was there the Seaweed was chewy, the fish was not fresh. The staff that we got to know and Love are all gone. The Sushi Chef's never smile. It has lost it's Yum and there is no Crab or Fresh Fish. more

Yum Yum Fish 12/4/2006

People don't come to Yum Yum Fish for the ambiance- they come for the super fresh sushi. This place is basically a fish shop with a counter that sells sushi grade fish and seafood. There are also 3 tables in the front where you can sit and enjoy a variety of sushi and sashimi at quite low prices. There are both traditional and modern rolls- try the rock and roll or the fresh scallop roll. The salmon skin roll and soft shell crab is great too. Hawaiian style tuna poke as well! We always get the Orchid set which has 8-9 pieces of nigiri and spicy tuna roll- great deal for only $12. They also cater sushi, with platters going from $40- $80. Typically I'd get my order to go as the store does smell overwhelmingly of fish. more

Yum Yum - some great sushi! 4/5/2006

This is by far not the most romantic or nicest sushi place in San Francisco, but it is the place to go if you want some fantastic sushi at amazingly low prices. It still operates as a fish shop, where you can buy some really great fish – so the ambiance is lacking. But it more than makes up for it by the quality, freshness, and price of the sushi! more

freshest and least expensive sushi in the City! 9/15/2004

Don't go for the ambience (a converted and co-existing fish shop that went after the higher margins of a sushi restaurant), but go for the freshest and least expensive sushi in the City! Tues-Sun 10:30 am - 7:30 pm more
