I have taken all 3 of my children to The Yellow Balloon since their first haircut. Maisa is our favorite !!!!!!! I have one client who gets her haircut there as well as her daught...

They were just OK. Cut too short when I asked not too.

My son's hair is fine and wavy and this can be very difficult to cut. I have been his hair stylist... We came to Yolanda and I can only say that she is AMAZING!! She really understands hair and she layered it and kept the length. I am pleased with the cut! more

Fun place to get the kids hair cut 11/9/2009

My kids love going there. They don't mind waiting because they get to play games while they wait. And they can watch a movie as they get their hair done. Pros: Best cuts in the Valley more

Great Haircuts for Kids and Adults 10/27/2009

I love taking my kids to the Yellow Balloon, because while they are getting their haircut and playing the games, I can get my hair done including a cut and color and not have to worry about them getting bored. Everybody comes out looking great! Pros: Fun , upbeat atmosphere and caring, patient staff more

I LOVE the Yellow Balloon! The owner really cares about her business, and it shows. Nothing in town will even compare to the experience you'll have there. My Little one always leaves smiling, and so do i. I will be returning real soon =) Pros: Real Pros doing awesome hair more

This place is the greatest. I have been taking my kids there for years. Sure it's located a little far from my home, but the Results are always worth the drive. Sabrina the owner is Really nice and Michelle does the best color. My wife sees her exclusively. There are arcades, vending machines, balloons, Popcorn and other stuff i cant remember that kept my kids busy during our short wait. overall My kids love their cuts, and i would not go anywhere else Pros: best place for kids haircut hands down Cons: they dont have more locations more

Yellow Balloon is a Happy Place for Kids Haircuts 6/20/2009

I have taken my kids to Yellow Balloon since they were 1 year of age. My daughter who is 10 and son, 7, simply love the place. It's filled with happiness and it's a great place to enjoy the experience of having a professional haircut. Don't listen to the critics about this place. The only thing to simply keep in mind is the parking in Ventura Blvd. You got to plan ahead of the game prior to your appointment. The place receives an A+ for customer service. more

Best kid haircut 1/30/2009

wow the yellow balloon is fantastic! my four year old daughter and two year old son love to go there,probably because of the candy and toys but i really like the way they treat my kids ,very gentle and patient with my little guy who is afraid of the clippers.i would highly recommend them and if you are trying to save money they have a frequent haircut club card so you save money. Th hair cuts are cute and they never cut too much off. more

Last saturday I took my three boys for haircuts at The Yellow Balloon. The hair stylists (Susan,Vic,Michele)were great with the boys they were sweet and patient which is a good thing becuase my boys tend to wiggle,move a lot,and cry. Their hair cuts were adorable and they didn't cut them too short. There are so many games, toys, and treats my kids never want to leave. My favorite part with having three boys is their club card especially during these hard times a free hair cut is a great way to save money. more

It's so interesting because Yellow Balloon is hit or miss. Frankly, I have had almost all of the stylists cut my kids hair and I think unless you get Maisa or Yolanda it's a crap shoot. Those two are terrific. They others, well, ... more

At first I thought this place was wonderful, then I got a closer look. It's pretty dirty and some of the stylist smell like cigarettes. They must have just came back from a break but still who wants to have your sweet baby's hair cut by someone who just had a smoke? The bathroom was really dirty, sink..floors and toilet looked as if they hadn't been properly cleaned in awhile. I'd go to my stylist and just make it fun for my daughter before I'd go there again. The stylist were pushy with the other kids too I noticed. Very ruff with the clippers on little boys sensitive necks and around there little ears. Nobody seemed to pay attention to the kids just kept giving them cookies and candy to get them to hold still instead of taking it slow. They obviously are told to move e'm move e'm out more

my brother and i have been going to the yellow balloon since we we got our first haircuts by maiza. we trust all of the stylists there. also, they offer coloring and waxing services. and haircuts for adults too! more

Overpriced and incompetent. 5/1/2008

These people are very good in VERY simple hair or buzz cuts, but that?s about it. I took my sons here twice and either time these people just don?t take any direction or advice and my kids looked like trailer trash when we walked out. I came back the second time because they are very close to where I live and I thought maybe it was just an honest mistake but it wasn?t they have no finesse and just know one thing. They should be dog groomers. Pros: Very friendly, patient with little kids Cons: Clueless to more developed haircuts, Overpriced, Every haircut is the same more

GOod palce for haircuts... can be a zoo, especially on weekends. Quality of haircuts vary by stylist, so you may need to try a couple out until you find your one. A little too much candy around the room for my taste, especially considering there are a lot of young children frequenting here. more

I was terrified of taking my daughter for a pro haircut because she's generally scared of strangers and HATES to have her hair messed with. But when we entered the Yellow Balloon she entered some sort of blissed out trance state. There are toys and games and things to look at everywhere (one of the employees was even playing guitar). Plus there is a popcorn machine so she joyfully ate popcorn throughout her cut. Our stylist, Yolanda, did an awesome job and kept my daughter very calm. Plus, they give you a polaroid and a cute certificate commemorating the first cut. Oh, and a balloon and a free barrette! more

My daughter loves going here. Her stylist is awesome. Tons of toys and they document the first haircut. Also gives repeat customer punch cards, 10th haircut is free. The only downside would be the price. $18-22 for a haircut. more
