Great practice with caring staff. You get what you pay for. Phone calls to remind me of appointments, when regular checkups are due, and a genuine caring atmosphere. Seems like the same 3-4 people have written scathing remarks about this practice over several different review sites and my experiences resemble nothing they have written. more

On May 23, 2010, our practice was destroyed in a block fire that destroyed several businesses on Queens Blvd. WE would like to thank all the support and love we have received from our beloved clients. We hope to reopen soon. Most places would want to remove negative reviews and not address them. We understand that we will always be faced with someone who is not satisfied but we hope that those people would take the civil route and allow us to address their concerns privately. If people chose to take their opinions public we cannot possibly help find a positive resolution. We always provide estimates and discuss all options before we proceed. We have voluntarily joined AAHA and are one of three practices in Queens that follow these standards. We recommend everything that is in the patients right of ""standards of care"", whether an owner believes they are needed or not, is a question of personal opinion not medical standards. The advancements in veterinary medicine evolve daily and we do not feel that we should offer our patients any less than the best we can provide. We can stand by our AAHA guidelines and know that it is what we would want for our own pets. We are the only profession in the world where our knowledge and available skills are limited not by technology or medicine but by an individuals financial means and personal opinions. There are always quick, easy, cheap fixes to problems but they do not address causes and consequences and we would be remiss in not recommending all avenues of diagnosis and treatments for fear of sticker shock and looking expensive. We will continue to offer our clients and patients the same care we would expect for our own and welcome any questions about our practice. more

I went to this vet because my cat all of the sudden had a swollen lip and I wanted him to be looked at by a professional, unfortunately, Trylon does not seem to have any good professionals. During my visit the Vet took out a book with pictures to try and figure out what it could be, after flipping through 20 + pages, we concluded that it could be one of 10 different things - NOT VERY HELPFUL, I COULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING MYSELF!!!! When the vet was examining my cat, she had no idea how to hold him, and required a towel and the pressure of another person, just so she could look at his teeth. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! After all this, the vet recommended that I have my cat tested for Feline Aids even though he had been tested before, just because she wanted to verify he was negative. Just as we were about to leave, and pay the lovely $150 bill, the front desk clerk was watching a program on animal planet with a man running away from a dinosaur and she actually had to ask ""That cant be real right?"" as though questioning whether or not there were actually dinosaurs roaming about today!!! Lets just say this, the front desk clerk is merely a preview of the intelligence in that office. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN, EVEN THOUGH I LIVE ACROSS THE STREET!!!! BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!!! I recently moved from brooklyn to forest hills and I needed to find a new vet for my cat. this place was close to my new house so I decided to give it a try...ohh my god!!!! this place is really bad,first of all the empty headed latina at the desk don't know the different between a cat and a bird.She's rude and stupid,my cat has more IQ than she does. Dr.Frankenstein Wyler is scary and unprofessional.His assistant had know idea how to hold the cat down for check up.It was funny and sad at the same time. VERY EXPENSIVE!!!I do not recommend this place to any animal lover!!!!! Pros: NOTHING AT ALL Cons: UNPROFESSIONAL IN EVERY WAY more

Dr. Andino was absolutely wonderful when my cat, Bailey had terrible bowel problems, and when it came to the point that he had to be euthanized. I could not have asked for anyone more caring, understanding and knowledgeable to help us at that very difficult time. The vet tech, Karla has also been a godsend as well. They both loved Bailey and treated him with such love and respect, I was truly touched by their compassion. Even afterwards, I received a card, and a call to see how I was doing. I brought my dog in for a growth removal (on her rear) and she came back with lesions on her stomach and a puncture wound in her chest. This should not have happened as a result of the surgery...but it did! Dr. Wyler was unprofessional and cold not to mention, over-priced. Also, be prepared to wait! Save your money and your tears!
