THE best 8/9/2004

As a Chinese American, I have eaten alot of regional food in my home, here and all over the world. My dad says this is THE BEST Chinese food he has eaten in USA! What about roasted goose, oil baked chicken, stir-fried snails with basil, greens with shrimp paste or furu (fermented bean curd). All the food is fresh, non-formulaic. Sauces have character, do not feel like they were added from the giant sauce can. The kitchen is high volume, service is fast and efficient. No dawdling or chatting to customers. Large take-out business, if you wish to dish up these delicacies at home. Reservations mandatory unless you want to wait interminably. Exc. value considering quality and preparation. It would be twice the amount in NYC. Pros: fabulous food Cons: , crowded/noisy more

Yeah for Yea's 7/29/2004

I have had chinese food nation wide and for the amount you spend it is worth it. Nice portions of meat with vegetables, excellent sauces, and fast and hot. If you like Chinese this is the place!! Pros: Value, Filling, Happy Cons: , Crowded, Small more

Yeas Wok Rocks! 7/24/2003

I can honestly say this is the best Chinese food I've had in Seattle and I've been searching long and hard. I finally decided to grab some take out after the great reviews I read. As soon as I walked in I noticed all the people waiting and the line or take out orders waiting to be picked up. This was an excellent sign. The prices are a bit high but the food is well worth it and I will definitely be back again! Pros: Quality, Service Cons: Price, Small Establishment more

1 of the More Authentic Restaurants 1/4/2003

I have been to Yea's Wok on no less than 10 occasions. I would like to consider myself somewhat of an expert in Chinese food as it is about an 60% staple in my diet (25% sushi, 15%other). Yea's Wok is a great example of authentic Chinese cuisine. On my first visit I was a bit surprised to find such quality in a place as isolated as. Yea's Wok is one of the few quality Seattle Chinese restaurant outside of the ID (Saigon Dynasty off MLK is another). You can only find such authenticity in the major Chinatowns, Taiwan/China, and the kitchens of Chinese mothers. Pros: Authentic, Affordable Cons: Isolated from W. Side more

Great Taste, Great Value! 11/9/2002

We moved from the San Francisco area 7 years ago. We were so used to good Chinese food from China Town there, that we were very disappointed with Seattle's China town. After searching all around the area we finally found Yea's Wok! The food is great the waiters fast and friendly and the portions plentiful. Try to get together with another family and reserve the tables for 6-10 in the back room. That way you can order lots of variety and enjoy the family style of sharing. Pros: good value, good variety, friendly fast service Cons: long waits, crowded tables more

It just doesn't get any better than Yeas 11/9/2002

wonderful asian food 8/16/2002

I have lived in the Greater Eastside for my entire life and next to World Fresh Asian Restaurant in II Union Square Building in Downtown Seattle, Yea's Wok probably has the best Asian dining in the Greater Eastside. more

great chinese food...where? 8/12/2002

newport hills is not the first place i'd run to for great chinese food. however, yea's does a very good job of capturing authentic chinese cuisine. what i liked the most was the ""real"" spiciness of its cuisine (sometimes ""spicy"" merely means ""a little more pepper than ususal"" in north america). would go there more often, if it were located closer to seattle metro area. Pros: good food, good service, cleanliness Cons: distance, distance, distance! more

Yummy Yea's 7/26/2002

It was weird to find such great Chinese food in such a secluded part of Bellevue, not to mention in a shopping center. But, even though i no longer live near it, Yea's sweet and sour chicken will lead me to drive many miles!! Pros: Amazing Food, Good Parking, Quick Service Cons: ambience more

Yeas Wok is a great Chinese restaurant that never fails to satisfy. The food is always delicious and well worth the wait. Don't miss the Shanghai Spareribs and Crispy Shrimp in Black Bean Sauce. Be sure to have a party of 6 so you can make reservations. Pros: Inexpensive, Prompt service, Cute hostess Cons: Crowded, Closed Mondays more
