Best

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I always go there during lunch and dinner because the foods are so awesome that makes you drool and always come back for more. If you like ...

Worst

food's nothing special, maybe it's authentic in other southeast asian food but defintely not Malaysian

Good Malaysian food 11/10/2008

This review comes after my second time there and exactly after 1 year. The first time I had gone I did not know what to expect. This time I knew coz I had visited Kuala Lampur earlier this year. So I asked for something vegetarian with the famous black soy sauce and I liked what the waiter got me. It was with thin noodles and mildly friend strips of tofu and mushroom. Could have been a bit more spicy but then Im way up there with spice so mild spice lovers will like it. There might be a better place but I wanna go back to try their vast menu. And the best part is they will make anything veggie. EVEN the appetizers. Definitely recommend this place. Pros: Many options (veggie too), inexpensive, lots of seating Cons: None really but closes early at 10 on weekends. more

bad experience 8/6/2008

After reading previous rating decided to go try it. \r However, i was extremely disappointed. \r I ordered the Curry chicken, but the curry is too light feels like mixed with a lot of water.\r Rice did not cooked through.... \r would not go again more

Good chicken rice 8/1/2008

Yes, just like what politikchik said, the satay is aweful. I only go there for Chicken rice (steamed) and Ying Yang noddles only. Roti canai is ok. more

Great foods and Affordable price 5/8/2007

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I always go there during lunch and dinner because the foods are so awesome that makes you drool and always come back for more. If you like spicy food, this is a good restaurant to eat. Some of my recommedations are the Steam poh piah, Satay, Roti (a must), Rojak (combination of fruit salad, highly recommend), Curry laksa, asam laksa, beef rendang, Hainanese Roasted Chicken, Mango chicken curry, Lamb curry, Assam fish, and so on. \r \r For dessert, i would recommend the bobor bobor cha cha (with taro, yam and coconut milk), ice kacang , cendol ( shaved ice with jello and brown sugar, highly recommend). Some of their servings are pretty big, enough for you to eat with your family. \r \r Pros: Affordable price, great environment, great selection of foods, big serving, and great service Cons: Parking more

avoid! 8/22/2006

I had read a few good reviews of this place and decided to check it out. The price was right but the food was awful. The chicken satay looked like plastic and had no flavor. The curry was bland and greasy. I would not go back. Reminded me of what I would try to cook if I bought a Thai cookbook at a craft fair in Ohio - whitewashed, boring, full of transfats, and inauthentic. Pros: cheap, quick, open fairly late Cons: horrible food more

Great food, great taste 1/1/2006

It's affordable, tasty, fun, and best of all, it's yummy! The curry entrees are awesome. I love the Beef Rendang. Bring friends and family. You'll impress them. Pros: affordable, tasty Cons: parking more

Yazmin is great all year round! 8/14/2004

This restaurant...I can truly declare ""what good food and service is"". The food is very good, the menu is pretty extensive, and of course the staff is prompt and well mannered. The price is right and the space is unlimited. Great place to spice up your appetite without regrets-anytime, anyday!! Pros: food, service, space more

Good coconut curries. 1/22/2003

You could probably argue that this isn't authentic Malaysian cuisine. I think the award for that goes to Little Malaysia in El Monte. However, the food is still really good and, their interpretation is, in my opinion, sometimes better. In particular, they do a coconut curry called Chicken Rendang, and a mildly spicy noodle dish called Indian Mee Goreng which is wonderful. The deep-fried pomfret (with spicy scallion sauce) is also one of my favorites. Pros: Inexpensive, A fe w good dishes more

Tired of Thai? Over Indian? 7/1/2002

Expansive menu full of tasty curries (try the curry puff appetizer) and noodles. The fruit salad with a sweet soy dressing and peanuts was delicious. Eat family style so you can try more dishes. Great overall experience, although the waiter disappeared after we finished eating. Pros: friendly atmosphere, inexpensive, ample parking Cons: inconsistent service more
