Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was utter madness. Once we could jockey a couple of seats at the bar we decided to eat lunch there. The food was outrageously good, and the drinks were out of this world. The bartender was slammed, but she made the effort to make sure we were well taken care of. Can't wait to go back. more

The worst restaurant I have been in Miami. Noise was so deafening that it hurt my ears. The chicken was dry. Ribs had very little meat on them. Biscuits hard and cold. In fact all the food came out cold. The desert served in little jars was disgusting. It was a loose podding with a few cookies\r Ordered a vodka gibison. They did not have onions. \r I have eaten Southern cooking all through the south. This is not Southern cooking.\r Horrible, Horrible. more

What good is a reservation at this place? We waited almost 45 minutes for our table. Trying to get drinks at the bar was almost impossible. To top it off, we didn't get all of our meals served. more

The charcuterie plate ($14) was a table-pleaser: Robust pork rillette blanketed in Dijon mustard, Virginian cured ham, and house-pickled vegetables were served with morish house crackers. The 'Lil' bit of meat loaf' ($11) was a dainty square of savory slow-braised short rib with piquant sweet tomato relish, balanced with velvety mash, crispy fried okra and drizzled in a full-bodied veal and bourbon reduction. An enterprising collaboration of flavors, however I thought the meat was a tad dry. Mama's chicken biscuits ($11) lived up to their golden reputation; the succulent meat interior was embraced by a greaseless, crisp crust. The buttermilk biscuits could have used a little extra moisture to realize their full potential. more

We took the kids to Yardbirds for dinner yesterday evening and we were very impressed. We are locals and have tried many restaurants on Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive but this is the best restaurant on South Beach! The music was awesome and the food was even better. We started with the yummy biscuits and the corn on the cob which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were bummed that they didn't have a kid's menu but our server, Luigi, was great and made suggestion that the kids would like. My son had the meatloaf which he quickly gobbled down. My daughter and I shared the veggie pot pie - it was so big that we had leftovers! What an awesome spot for locals and visitors to Miami Beach. more

Great drink menu, lots of interesting bourbon concoctions. All the food tastes great while you're eating it, but ALOT comes out of the deep fryer which I paid for twice: when I got the bill and later from the heartburn as I tried to fall asleep. more

Had the fried chicken and biscuit with Mac and cheese. Heaven on a plate! Lunchtime was not crazy and the only time to get chicken. Going back for brunch for sure. Service was excellent! more

I've been hearing so much about Yardbird and I could not wait to try it. I was finally able to last night and must say that it exceeded all expectations!! The atmosphere and the food (especially the Chicken Biscuits and mac and cheese!) was phenomenal. I loved it so much that I made a reservation to go back next weekend. more

My title says it all, I left with a food baby, full and happy. The wedge salad was incredible, the pieces of bacon in it were thick and cooked perfectly. Then there was the CHICKEN BISCUITS, I couldn't get them into my mouth fast enough, moist and tender perfect texture and size. Mac and Cheese was ridic, again perfectly portioned, every bite bursting with cheesy goodness. Then came dessert, the blueberry cobbler...Whoever created that please stand up and take a BOW! There isn't a word I can use to give that dessert justice. We also had the old fashion apple pie, the apples were cooked perfectly, not mushy, and the crust was light and flakey. The restaurant was clean, the staff was super friendly, and the service was prompt. I highly recommend everyone trying this new hot spot. more

We had the fried chicken and ham and cheese biscuits. Both were delicious. The fried chicken was nicely done and not greasy at all. The ham was high quality and biscuits were yummy. Also had a bloody mary that came with a strip of crispy bacon in it instead of celery! Odd but went perfect together. The best cheese grits I have ever eaten.Very tasty and nicely done.People complain of the prices but when you eat in South Beach you are paying for the real-estate as well- get over it people or eat in another part of town. I'm back in town for the holiday and I wanted to go to the Abbey, but it's being renovated. And it makes me crazy, but Yardbird is so much fun. I ate the watermelon and cheese appetizer. It was meaty like only watermelon, celery and grilled white cheese can be. The bartender had also been mixing up bourbon cherries and Chinese 5-spice powder and that was totally good too. I was pissed off that the only divey hole in the wall on South Beach wouldn't be open for the holidays, and god dammit if this clean, bright, interesting Deep-South-influenced foodie bar isn't fantastic. Life is tough. This place is a decent neighbor for the Abbey. more

Perhaps the most memorable dish for me was his chicken & biscuits. The chicken was tender and dry fried. the biscuit part melted in your mouth. more
