Ya Hala Restaurant

These guys are great. The Shwarma special is delicious with french fries but always needs extra white sauce. They need to add extra white sauce as a menu option. I order from them on a regular basis. more

I ordered a beef shawerma sandwich, lentil soup, and ya hala plate with baba ganoush, falafel, and hummus. The shawerma sandwich and soup were good and had nice flavor. The ya hala plate was a total waste of money. For 9.99 you only get 3 falafel and a portion of the two dips and some bland salad. I cant put my finger on it but the baba ganoush had such a strange chemical taste. I've bought that item before and it tasted differently and had a good flavor. There was something very off about the hummus too. The order total was $20.04. The delivery guy told us $22.00 and refused to show the order receipt. I don't like the wool being pulled over my eyes and being cheated of my hard earned money, so $22.00 is all he got from us. To be honest all this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if I will order from this place again to be honest. I would recommend the sandwiches and falafel. As for the other menu items, save your money because it's not worth it. more

Food was delicious and priced right, but some things arrived cold. A particular problem were dishes that combined something hot and something cold. Suggest they package dish that comes together with salad with the kifte or falafel or whatever wrapped separately. more

The food was an hour and a half late and the customer service from grub hub helped a lot. When I looked back onto the menu thing for YaHala, I noticed they took off orders for weekends, so perhaps I was the Last of the Mohicans. I ordered the shwarma plate and the meat was tasty but it was cold and hard to chew. It was disappointing. The pita bread was great and the salad got really mushy with no dressing on it or on the side. It was ok, I think the food is prob great if you are sitting in and eating it right away or something. more

In the middle of urban Yonkers, there is an oasis of excellent Middle Eastern Food. Falafel, Shish Kebab, Chumus, Grape Leaves, Shakshooka, and the Fatoosh Salad-- all of it is beautifully prepared, reasonably priced, and delicious. This isn't a ""Fine"" restaurant-- it's great food at a great price. This is where I take visitors when I want to show them that Yonkers is more than a punchline. more
