The facility is great in that it has a lot of amenities. However, they have POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I don't think I've ever visited an institution that ever had such poor customer service. In the website, "Everyone is welcome at the Y". Walking into the Y, there is no such welcoming. Upon signing up, I was not explained ANY of my member benefits. Perhaps it was so because the person who was dealing with my paperwork was busy talking to the Supervisor about non-business matters. In another example, I made a suggestion to help improve their service to the supervisor, instead of showing appreciation or apologizing on behalf of the company for the lack of information provided to me (a paying member), I was shot down. So, in summary, this is my assessment of this branch of YMCA:
- poor management
- poor customer service
- poor communication with members: websites not updated of any changes, lack of notifications for members for closed services or areas of facility
- safety issues brought up by another reviewer
I am extremely disappointed at this facility and ashamed that this is in my community! I hope they do something about this poor customer service!
