New owner has done it right 10/19/2010

I agree with the previous review... I haven't been here in many years but after my sandwich today i know it will be way sooner trather than later that i return... Tons of meat. Tons of cheese, tons of shrooms= Yummy Cheesesteak to me. (Note:shrooms cost me an extra .55c) Nothing wrong here! more

Real Deal AT Woody's 10/5/2010

Hooray For Woody's! Now open 7 days a week for lunch AND dinner... Whatever problems you may have had before, Give this spot another try. According to guy at counter last week, there are new owners since summer and all i can say is Yummy! Tons of Meat on the roll, tons of cheese,(i had 1/2 american,1/2 cheese whiz), and zero complaints. Free refills on drinks appreciated. more

Not that good 1/29/2009

Hi! I ate there today for lunch and found the sandwich to be very much bread and not that much meat. Also, the mushrooms used were not fresh. You can do much better elsewhere. more

Woody's 2/16/2006

This place is one of the best known spots for lunch in Atlanta. Its in the midst of the mix and for a while there -- it was a staple in my diet. Woody -- he's the king of the place with as soft a voice and as great a smile as could be needed to keep you coming back for more. The menu's simple -- no "specials of the day" its a cheesesteak place and it does that very, very well. While he does keep banker's hours -- its worth it. Someone, when asked why they robbed banks. The answer, that's where the money is. Why Woody's -- that's where the good food is. Try it out, the expense is low and it makes for a nice lunch date before Piedmont Park or a jaunt through the Virginia Highlands. more

Didn't care for these cheesesteaks 12/29/2005

Maybe it was because they standardly put mustard on them or something but I didn't care for these cheesesteaks. A lot of people rave about them, but I wasn't not too impressed with my meal. It's been around for years and is in a great location to Piedmont Park, but I won't be going back. more
